Member Benefits

Wondering why you should become a member of USND?  USND members receive valuable investment and utility industry information; invitations to regional meetings to engage with industry, political and regulatory leaders and to learn more about utility investments and important utility issues; and the ability to join forces with others who share common concerns in order to promote policy changes through state and federal legislation and rule-making.  

There are both individual shareholder and associate business memberships in USND.  

Individual Member:  One year members receive monthly email updates, quarterly newsletters, and access to other industry educational oportunities.  $20/year

Individual Three Year Member:  Three year members receive the benefits of a full membership, plus a Utility Shareholders of North Dakota pen.  $55/3-year term

Powering Members $2,500/year includes all benefits provided to Efficiency members, plus:

* Access to virtual discussions/updates with USND, industry leaders.

* Access to quarterly written policy updates on ND and federal issues

* Inclusion in published lists of USND members; and

* Invitation to attend USND Day at the Capitol each legislative session.

Reliability members $5,000/year includes all benefits provided to Powering members, plus:

* Representation on policy subcommittees, as determined by the policy committee; and

* Invitation to virtual or in-person policy discussions with ND leaders.

Sustainability members $15,000/year includes all benefits provided to Reliability and Powering, members, plus:

* Membership at this level is represented by one seat on the Board of Directors, to be elected among all members of this level; and

* Representation on Policy Committee.
